Pilot injured after plane crash at Coeur d’Alene Airport

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — A pilot of a multi-engine Cessna was injured after a plane crash at the Coeur d’Alene Airport-Pappy Boyington Field this morning.

Crews from Northern Lakes Fire Protection District were called a unknown injury plane crash.

According to Chris Larson with Northern Lakes Fire Protection, three ambulances arrived at the airport and were able to extricate the pilot from the plane in five minutes.

The man was alert and oriented once he talked to crews. He was transported to the hospital to assess any further injuries.

Through investigation, crews were told that the man is a local pilot based out of the Coeur d’Alene Airport.

At this time, the Federal Aviation Administration is on their way to continue the investigation.
