SPOKANE, Wash. – A pair of Spokane men made their first appearances in Spokane County Superior Court on Monday for allegedly attempting to lure two children into his truck on March 15.

According to court documents, Nicholas Esteban Philipe, 35, and Ramon Simon Matias, 40, pulled alongside two children in the parking lot of Altitude Trampoline Park in the Spokane Valley.

The children said the two men followed them for about 15 minutes.

One of the men allegedly told the children to get in the vehicle. The children reportedly sought refuge in the trampoline park and told an employee that they were uncomfortable.

Court documents state that the employee then went outside to the parking lot and confronted the men in the truck. The employee says that the men claimed they were there to pick up the driver of the truck’s daughter.

They were told to leave by the employee and were reportedly seen idling at A Massage across the street.

Philipe and Simon were arrested by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office in the parking lot of A Massage after trampoline park employees called law enforcement.

They both face a child luring charge and are currently in Spokane County Jail.
