COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Take a trip under the sea to Bikini Bottom and see North Idaho Christian Youth Theater’s (CYT) latest musical, The SpongeBob Musical.
The well-known and hilarious Broadway show has something for everyone of all ages with its dynamic and family elements. With a cast of kids ages 8 to 18, CYT brings irresistible characters and magical music to life.
The SpongeBob Musical is performed at The Midge & Pepper Smock Family Theatre at The Kroc. People can purchase tickets at the door or on the official North Idaho CYT website. The standard ticket price is $18.00 per person, and the door price is $20.00. Children, Seniors, and large groups receive discounts. For more information, click here.
CYT also invites schools to come and enjoy the show, and classes can purchase school-day tickets.
“SpongeBob The Musical is a story about friendship, overcoming obstacles, and never giving up. It’s a fun family show for all ages, and if you are not a fan of SpongeBob the cartoon, you will still love this show! The music is amazing and written by many famous artists such as David Bowie, Steven Tyler, Cindi Lauper, Lady Antebellum, Panic at the Disco, The Flaming Lips, Plain White T’s and John Legend, said Jenny Keough, CYT’s Artistic Director.
Director Paisley Siemens and her artistic team designed the set to have bright and colorful scenes, bringing the well-loved place to the stage. The sets, costumes, props, and makeup are all done by parent volunteers who put in 30 or more hours of volunteer work.
Keough encourages people to support their local youth theater and buy tickets. She said in the interview, “Our incredibly talented Artistic Team and cast of kids have worked so hard to make this show fantastic, and they deserve to have the seats filled.
