SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Everyone is safe after a fire broke out in the Spokane Industrial Park on Monday.

The Spokane Valley Fire Department (SVFD) received a report of heavy smoke coming from a building near Sullivan and Trent just before 3:30 p.m.

Spokane Valley firefighters were on the scene within five minutes of the initial report and upgraded the call for more resources. Due to swift action from SVFD, everyone evacuated safely, and no one was injured.

Fire crews knocked down the fire quickly, but the material inside the building made fighting the fire more difficult, according to SVFD.

Emergency responders remain on the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
