SPIRIT LAKE, Idaho -The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) is on the scene of an officer-involved shooting in Spirit Lake.
According to KCSO, the shooting happened near Fourth and Jefferson, just west of Athol. No officers have been injured in this shooting.
Spirit Lake police and KCSO are asking those who live in nearby apartments to stay away if they are not home. If you are inside your apartment, stay inside. The City of Spirit Lake said in a Facebook post that Spirit Lake City Hall is open for anyone displaced by the police activity.
