MultiCare Heart Strings Fundraiser will support mental health in the Spokane community

SPOKANE, Wash. – Proceeds from MultiCare Inland Northwest Foundation’s sixth annual Heart Strings Fundraiser will go towards supporting mental health in the Spokane community, according to the organization.

Using the funds from 2022’s Heart Strings Fundraiser to remodel the Hillyard Library into their own behavioral health center, MultiCare is continuing their efforts to expand mental health coverage all across the Inland Northwest.

This year’s event, which will be a concert by the Stone Temple Pilots at Gonzaga University’s McCarthey Athletic Center, is reportedly expected to be sold out with a crowd of around 6,000 people.

“While it is essential and so important that we raise these funds so that we can invest and expand access to care for mental health in our community, it’s also equally important that we make it okay to not be okay.” said Executive Director at MultiCare Inland Northwest Foundation, Carolyn Kadyk.

This is the first time that the Heart Strings concert will be held at the McCarthey Athletic center. In previous years, they were held at either the Fox Theater or at the Davenport.

The upcoming concert was announced March 14 but tickets are still available for purchase.

Tickets are $25 for Gonzaga students and $85 for non-students.
