SPOKANE, Wash. — The building on Spokane’s South Hill, once slated to be a new MUV Fitness location, is back on the market for lease.
The former Albertson’s grocery store at the corner of 37th and Grand is being offered by NAI Black.
Chris Bell of NAI Black confirmed to 4 News Now that MUV Fitness will not be moving into the location.
We’ve been following the story of MUV Fitness and the location for more than three years when it was first announced as a new location.
In January, MUV Fitness wrote in a statement to 4 News Now “the South Hill location remains part of our long-term plans, and we’re continuing to move forward through the phases of planning and coordination.”
The city of Spokane granted MUV Fitness a Commercial Building Remodel in June of 2023. That permit expired in December 2025.
The city also granted MUV Fitness a permit for Commercial Change of Use in July of 2023. That permit expired on January 18th.
A permit to build a swimming pool was granted in August of 2023 and is set to expire in November.
MUV Fitness has a locations in south Spokane on Regal, north Spokane and Spokane Valley.
We’ve reached out to MUV Fitness for comment, and will update this story when we hear back.
