COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The remaining Pac-12 schools, Oregon State University and Washington State University, have come to a scheduling agreement with the Mountain West Conference for the 2024 football season.

As part of this agreement, OSU and WSU will play six games with the Mountain West Conference. There will be three games at home and three games away.

WSU president, Kirk Schulz, responded to this agreement by saying, “today’s announcement provides both institutions clarity for the 2024 football season. We plan to announce a complete 2024 football schedule in the near future.”

“The scheduling agreement will expand the Mountain West footprint and enhance our national brand, while providing our student-athletes with new opportunities. The scheduling agreement strengthens the league’s non-conference schedules, and we look forward to having Oregon State and Washington State be a part of the 2024 slate,” said Mountain West Commissioner Gloria Nevarez.

With this agreement, Scott Barnes, Oregon State’s Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, said “we have a great opportunity in front of us and a path forward for continued success… We are still focused on re-building the Pac-12, and continue to prioritize the student-athlete experience at Oregon State.”

Now, even though WSU and OSU will be playing against Mountain West teams, none of these games will count towards conference standings. Also neither Pac-12 school will be eligible for the Mountain West championship game.

A complete 2024 football schedule will be announced soon.
