Man found dead near downtown Spokane, identified

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Medical Examiner has identified the man found dead in February near downtown Spokane.

The Medical Examiner said the man was identified as 38-year-old Cody Croy, was found dead near Boone Avenue and Normandie Street on Feb. 26 morning.

The Medical Examiner’s Office said he died from an accidental overdose of fentanyl and meth.

In their release, The Medical Examiner’s Office said.

“The Medical Examiner’s Office thanks the public for their assistance in identifying Mr. Croy and returning him to his family.”
