RITZVILLE, Wash. – Lind Ritzville High School has been given the “all clear” following a bomb threat that closed the school’s campus Thursday afternoon.

Around 1 p.m. on Oct. 5, busses began shuttling students back home after word of a bomb threat began to circulate. Parents were asked to pick up their kids as soon as possible if they didn’t take the bus.

In a Facebook post, the school says they worked with law enforcement and trained military personnel and no suspicious items were found. The building is now clear and safe for normal operations.

Forensic specialists are working on behalf of Lind Ritzville High School to investigate this incident. The school encourages everyone to report suspicious activity on social media or related online messages.

“We will continue taking every precaution to ensure our campuses are safe to resume normal operations,” the school said.

School will resume on Monday, Oct. 9, unless otherwise notified.
