Life Skills student at Coeur D’Alene middle school shoots, scores during game

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – A Life Skills student in Coeur D’Alene was pulled into the action at a basketball game at Canfield Middle School.

Canfield Middle School Principal Nick Lilyquist said Banyan loves basketball and had been going to team practices all season.

During the last minutes of a game against CDA Tribal School, Banyan was called in, and was able to score some points for the team.

“The gym went crazy! Kudos to the coaches and players on both teams for their sportsmanship and compassion,” Lilyquist said.
