LEWISTON, Idaho – The Lewiston Police Department is investigating and warning people about a series of pickpockets around the area.
Lewiston PD’s Facebook page shows two individuals pickpocketing a person’s wallet, removing their credit card and then replacing the wallet.
Police warn that these individuals employ these same tactics and that many times victims aren’t aware of their stolen property until charges are made to their credit cards.
The police are aware of the group and are telling people to be aware of their personal items and to leave them unattended in shopping carts, etc.
