Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office seizes meth, fentanyl and gun during traffic stop

POST FALLS, Idaho – Kootenai County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two men for possessing drugs and a gun on Tuesday night.

The two men, Brian Hanson and Michael White, are both in their 60s. Deputies stopped their vehicle due to an alleged minor traffic violation.

When law enforcement investigated the vehicle, they claim to have found methamphetamine, fentanyl and an unlawfully possessed handgun.

Post Falls Police K9 units allegedly located over a pound of meth and a gram of fentanyl.

White and Hanson allegedly resisted arrest and were sent to Kootenai County Jail on three counts related to the traffic stop.
