KELLER, Wash.— The Keller Ferry, M/V Sanpoil, was removed from service Oct. 29 due to mechanical issues with the transmission.

According to Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), those who use the Keller ferry to travel across the Columbia River on State Route 21 will have to find alternate routes as the vessel is likely to remain out of service for several days.

WSDOT said that those planning a trip across the Columbia River on State Route 21 should choose an alternate route while the ferry is being fixed via State Route 25 or State Route 155 and State Route 174.

Those traveling that way should schedule additional travel, as it takes up to an hour to complete the detour.
