KCSO warns public that scammers are pretending to be State Processor Agents in Idaho

KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho – The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) is warning the public that they’ve received multiple complaints about scam calls.KCSO said scammers are leaving messages claiming to be from an attorney’s office as an Idaho State Processor Agent. KCSO adds these scammers tell people they will garnish their wages if they don’t call back and comply.Sheriff’s are encouraging people to be cautious when giving financial or personal information over the phone. Law enforcement wants to remind the community scammers usually rush and have enough information to seem legitimate.
