General Summary of Duties:
- Develop and implement websites and content for diverse markets.
- Collaborate with sales, promotions, and production to create engaging and informative online experiences aligned with our brand and televised content.

Primary Duties:
1. Ensure website content aligns with televised content in coordination with Sales and Promotions.
2. Develop and customize websites using various CMS tools.
3. Manage advertising components and video presentation on sites.
4. Work within the Google Environment, including AdSense, Ad Manager, Web Manager, and other tools.
5. Assist in OTT ad delivery.
6. Work alongside Promotions and Production to contribute to development and application of
promotions and social media posting.

Working Conditions:
- In-house position with flexible hours (primarily 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday).
- Some light lifting and travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience:
- College degree preferred.
- Associates level in Graphic Design with Web concentration or Web/Video/Web Custom Code experience accepted.
- Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in web development. CMS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Full Stack Web Development skills desirable.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and creative thinking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure without supervision.
- Maintain effective working relationships with staff and the public.

 

Master Control Operator

This position is responsible for operating switchboards, commercial playback servers, and following daily station logs for KAYU/KCYU/KFFX/NAYU/NFFX

Description of Primary Duties

  • Operates audio/video switching consoles for all stations simultaneously
  • Monitors equipment to ensure quality of signal being delivered
  • Inputs and operates computer servers for commercial playback
  • Operates satellite receiving equipment
  • Maintains logs and paperwork, as required, and prepares daily variation reports
  • Operates transmitter per Federal Communication Commission regulations
  • Responsible for company security and safety procedures during business hours
  • Performs related duties as assigned

Reports to Lead Master Control Operator, Chief Engineer, and General Manager

Webmaster / Developer
KAYU Spokane

General Summary of Duties

This position is responsible for the development and implementation of the websites and their content for multiple markets, including Hispanic markets. The daily duties would include working closely with sales, promotions, and production to ensure that the websites give the viewers an entertaining and educational experience that matches our brand and televised content. The webmaster should be able to use multiple CMS, Google DFP, Google AdSense and Google Analytics. Also, Adobe Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Premiere Plus and Media Encoder. The webmaster will also build ads and ensure video advertising compatibility. The webmaster also occasionally works with Digital to assist in OTT advertising and Social Media.

Descriptions of Primary Duties

  1. Work with Sales and Promotions to ensure website content matches televised content.
  2. Develop websites using CMS
    1. Customize CMS to work for our use
    1. Add and maintain advertising code
    1. Add and maintain Video
    1. Create custom pages and posts
    1. Create custom PHP Headers, Pages, CSS, Functions
  3. Work within the Google Environment
    1. AdSense, Ad Manager, Web Manager, Business, Search Console, Web Tools, etc.
  4. Work with digital video
    1. Currently JW Player
    1. AdSense pre rolls and Digital Vide and Digital Video Ad delivery.
  5. Work with Production to produce daily and weekly promos or as assigned.
  6. Some social media posting and content creation
  7. Some OTT ad delivery
  8. Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

This is an in-house position. Hours vary but are primarily 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.

Some light duty lifting and light travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience
College degree preferred.

Administrative Assistant – KAYU
POSITION PROFILE
• Reporting to the General Manager, this position coordinates programming information, schedules, and maintains records for KAYU and KCYU/KFFX as well as front desk responsibilities.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Creates, maintains, and distributes program schedules for our stations in Spokane and Yakima/Tri.Cities.
• Provides and coordinates programming information to various TV/Sports Listing and rating services.
• Updates records and prepares reports for FCC files.
• Interfaces with viewers through phone/email regarding programming and general questions
• Performs other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU WILL BRING (QUALIFICATIONS):
• Previous office or assistant experience preferred
• Knowledge of computer software applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to prioritize and work effectively with deadlines
