SPOKANE, Wash. – A couple walking downtown was attacked by a group of teens and robbed on Tuesday night according to the Spokane Police Department.
The incident took place near West Spokane Falls Boulevard and North Howard. The teens reportedly pepper sprayed or bear maced the couple before stealing a backpack and cash from the couple.
Law enforcement reports detaining at least one individual in connection with the alleged robbery. A backpack was recovered from the Spokane River by police and an active investigation into the incident is ongoing.
