KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — Early election results are in for multiple school levies and the governor’s race.
As of Wednesday evening, the Kellogg Joint School District, a supplemental levy measure spanning Kootenai and Shoshone counties is passing with 63.57% of voters IN FAVOR of authorizing $3.5 million per year for two years. The measure requires 50% plus one vote to pass.
Lakeland Joint School District’s plant facilities levy, a measure in Bonner and Kootenai counties, is failing with 57.14% voting AGAINST authorizing up to $3 million per year for five years. It requires 55% approval to pass.
Kootenai County Fire and Rescue’s temporary levy override is passing with 62.30% voting IN FAVOR of an additional $5.2 million per year for two years.
Brad Little is leading the Republican primary for governor with 58.96% of the vote. Terri Pickens is leading the Democratic primary with 61.42%.
All results are still unofficial, and the election will not be certified until June 9.
