RATHDRUM, Idaho – Rathdrum Police Department were working on a St. Patrick’s Day Holiday DUI emphasis Wednesday which ended in a double arrest.
The two Spokane men were pulled over after running a red light in Rathdrum.
The driver, Ryan Erickson, was driving with a suspended registration and had an active arrest warrant in Kootenai County.
An investigation was done, and officers arrested Ryan for controlled substance, trafficking drugs, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, and possession of paraphernalia.
The passenger of the car, Nicolas Bergen, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Fentanyl, meth and other paraphernalia were all found by police and taken.
Both men will appear in court later today.
The Rathdrum police worked in conjunction with the North Idaho DUI task force to conduct this holiday arrest. .
