Get out your skis and snowboards, 49 degrees North opens this weekend!

CHEWELAH, Wash. — Snow is finally beginning to fall on our local mountains, so it’s time to wax up your skis and get out your snowboard because 49 degrees North will be opening on Dec. 2!

On Dec. 2 at 9 a.m. skiers will officially be able to hit the slopes at 49 degrees North in Chewelah.

If you are planning to go up on the mountain on Saturday, lift tickets will be $74 for an adult and $59 for a youth. To see the full lift ticket prices, 49 degrees North has all that information on their website.

Now, if you want to ski regularly, season passes are:

Adult (24-61) – $859Young Adult (18-23) – $699Senior (62-69) – $699Child (6 & under) – $35Youth (-117) – $599and more!

On opening day rentals will be $43. You can rent online, so if you need gear head over quickly to the 49 degrees North website and reserve your skis or snowboard before they run out.

Lastly, if you are new to skiing or snowboarding there will be private lessons offered on opening day and throughout the season. Lessons are $129 and you can sign up online!
