SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Public Library will now offer more music lessons for anyone wanting to learn a new skill or just refresh their skills.

This offering coming from a new $13,500 grant from The Future Song Foundation.

The library was previously offering minimal lessons during the week with limited options available. The new grant provided the necessary funds to expand and open up weekend lessons.

The instruments available for lessons so far are guitar, piano, drums, bass, and even the ukulele.

No experience is required and everyone ages 10 and older and welcome to participate.

The library does have a few instruments on hand if you don’t personally own one, but they encourage you to check out their website for availability first.

Lessons will be held at the Central Library on the third floor in the recording studio.

If you have questions reach out to arumsey@spokanelibrary.org. Or check out their website for sign up and more information here.
