Firefighters battle large house fire in Spokane Valley

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — The Spokane Valley Fire Department responded to a large house fire on north Dick Road as a plume of black smoke was seen in the sky.

On Nov. 29 at 11:53 a.m., Spokane Valley firefighters were called to a working fire near north Dick Road near Sinto in Spokane Valley.

There is a massive response to this fire as black smoke plumed from the structure.

Neighbors in the area say that they heard a large explosion and felt the ground shake prior to the fire.

Most of the smoke coming from the house at this point is white, meaning crews are gaining control of the active flames.

Multiple fire engines, Spokane Valley battalion chiefs, Washington State Patrol and AMR ambulances are on scene for this fire.
