FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. — Fairchild Air Force Base has confirmed that explosions heard in Airway Heights were from training being done.
Residents in Airway Heights reported that they heard explosions this morning and were uneasy about where it was from. Multiple public Facebook groups in the area mentioned that Fairchild Air Force Base was holding training for the past couple days.
A spokesperson from the Fairchild Air Force Base did confirm that the explosion heard in Airway Heights was from training being done.
Training was said to have wrapped up at 1 p.m. on Dec. 27.
