SPOKANE, Wash. – The weather may be cooling down, but fall isn’t over yet! And as we enter the final month of fall, what better way to enjoy the season than with the annual Fall Folk Festival?

If you’ve always wanted to experience the culture, food, and art of other countries but haven’t had a chance to go globetrotting, this is your chance. From Nov. 11-12, enjoy global music, dance, and other performances from around the world! And while the music is the highlight, there will be no shortage of delicious food, crafts, clothes, and other wares to browse when your toes get tired of tapping.

There’s no admission fee, and all ages are welcome!

With over 80 performances this year, you’re ears are in for a real treat! You’ll find old favorites like Spokane Taiko, Heidi Muller and Bob Webb, and the Spokane Raging Grannies in addition to artists new to the festival, including Banna Damhsa, The Radio Helpers, and the Silangan Dancers.

You can even take a dip into the past and enjoy a rousing round of contra dance! This form of folk dancing is done in long lines and dates back centuries, but you don’t have to know the moves to join in! An introductory workshop will be held before the dance begins, and it’s a cinch to pick up.

If you’re already marking your calendar, then head to The Lair at Spokane Community College between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday or 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. If you’re going to see a specific performance, you can view the event schedule online!
