Detectives identify officers placed on leave after East Wenatchee shooting

EAST WENATCHEE, Wash. – The North Central Washington Special Investigation Unit (NCW SIU) has identified the four individuals involved in a shooting at the Veterans Affairs Clinic earlier this month.

Three Chelan deputies and one Wenatchee police officer have been identified and have been placed on administrative leave per standard practice as the investigation continues.

The four deputies include:

Sgt. Adam Musgrove – 17-years in law enforcement (Chelan)Sgt. Brian Lewis – 16-years in law enforcement (Chelan)Deputy Andrew Tilton – 5 years in law enforcement (Chelan)Officer Erik Magnussen – 11 years in law enforcement (Wenatchee)

The man who was shot confronted sheriff’s deputies with a gun and then drove his car into a building, according to a release from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. He led authorities on a chase through East Wenatchee and upon approaching with his gun, was shot and injured before being transported to the hospital.
