Detectives asking for public’s help in Spokane Valley shooting investigation

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Spokane Valley Major Crimes Detectives are investigating a shooting near Sprague and Bowdish over the weekend.

On Oct. 7, around 8:50 p.m., several people reported gunshots near Sprague and Bowdish Road in Spokane Valley. When officers arrived on the scene, several shell casings were found.

From initial witness statements, two vehicles were involved in this incident. Detectives believe a white sedan and a dark-colored or black truck were involved in this incident.

Major crimes detectives are asking for the public’s help in this investigation.

Detectives are looking for a white sedan, possibly a BMW or similar vehicle, with damage appearing to be caused by gunshots. Anyone noticing a vehicle like this is urged to get the vehicle’s license plate number, or if you know of its location, call 911 or Crime Check at 509-456-2233, reference #10151855. Detectives are also looking for additional victims (businesses, homes, vehicles) of this shooting. If you believe you are a victim of this incident, please call Crime Check at 509-456-2233 to report it, reference #10151855.Businesses that might have camera footage that covers Sprague, between Bowdish Road and University Road, are asked to check their systems between 8:30 pm and 9:15 pm on Oct. 7. The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said all hospitals were checked and no injuries were reported in relation to this incident.
