SPOKANE, Wash. — A seven-time convicted felon has been arrested after a shooting in Spokane Saturday morning.

The shooting occurred in the 900 block of East Indiana Avenue around 6 a.m. on March 23. According to the Spokane Police Department (SPD), two people found a vehicle they believed was stolen from their friend. SPD said the car was not reported stolen.

The friend and another person arrived to see if it was their vehicle. The group of four people stood in the area of the car to figure out how to remove it from the location.

33-year-old Levi Corker confronted the group and had a brief verbal altercation before grabbing a firearm from his apartment. According to SPD, Corker is a 7-time felon with convictions including Assault in the Third Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of a Stolen Firearm, making him prohibited from possessing firearms.

The small group was able to retreat to their car and drive away as Corker fired multiple shots at the vehicle. No one was injured.

Police responded to the reported shooting and took Corker into custody. SPD said, “Corker was booked into the Spokane County Jail for four counts of Assault in the First Degree and one count of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm Second Degree.”
