5th Street Farmers Market returns to downtown Coeur d’Alene for summer season

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Market season returns to downtown Coeur d’Alene on Wednesday as the 5th Street Farmers Market kicks off its summer run, bringing more than 80 vendors to the heart of the city.

This year’s market expands further north along 5th Street, with vendors taking over three full blocks from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Wednesday through September 2nd.

The market offers a diverse selection of goods, from fresh flowers and local food to handcrafted art, aiming to attract both residents and visitors to the downtown area.

For many vendors, the weekly market has become a cornerstone of their business growth. Erika Murphy, who operates CDA Soap Co., has participated in the market for four years.

“I have been doing this event for four years. It is what has boosted my business. My products end up all over the United States. So they end up ordering when they get home, and I get to ship it all over the US because of this amazing event,” Murphy said.

The market is located at 5th & Sherman Av. It serves as the first in a series of summer events planned for downtown Coeur d’Alene. Music at McEuen Park begins July 8th and will also take place every Wednesday throughout the summer.

The market will feature special themed events this season, including a Summer Solstice market on June 17th and a Harvest Market on October 17th.
