SPOKANE, Wash. – Democratic candidates in the 5th district congressional race to replace Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers will meet for a debate hosted at Eastern Washington University (EWU) on March 22.
The event will be hosted by EWU Student Democrats and will feature candidates Ann Marie Danimus, Carmela Conroy and Bernadine Bank.
Candidates will begin their debate at 1 pm, and the program will last two hours. It will be hosted in the Pence Union Building.
McMorris Rodgers’ announcement that she is not seeking reelection for her US House seat has sparked a flurry of new Republican candidate announcements, though on the Democratic side there are currently only three individuals contending for their party’s nomination.
