POST FALLS, Idaho — After a months long investigation, a 57-year-old man was arrested and booked into jail for unlawful possession of firearms.

On Oct. 11, Post Falls Police Special Response Team assisted Post Falls Police Detectives with serving a search warrant to a home in the 1600 block of Legion Drive.

The search warrant was issued because detectives believed that a suspect, prohibited from having weapons due to prior felony convictions, was in possession of a firearm.

During a search of the home, law enforcement found multiple weapons.

57-year-old David Sursely was taken into custody without incident and was transported to Kootenai County Public Safety Building where he was booked for unlawful possession of firearms.
