SPOKANE, Wash. – Three adults and one teen were arrested Tuesday evening after police said they attacked a couple walking downtown.
The Spokane Police Department (SPD) confirmed the incident took place near West Spokane Falls Boulevard and North Howard. The group reportedly pepper sprayed or bear maced the couple before stealing a backpack and cash from the couple.
Four people involved were arrested near the Carousel and the couple recieved medical attention for the spray.
SPD said a backpack was recovered from the Spokane River.
