EPHRATA, Wash. — One person is dead and another is unaccounted for following a house fire in Ephrata Tuesday night.
On Jan. 23 around 8 p.m., were dispatched to a fire at a single-wide manufactured home in the 9800 block of Road H-Northwest.
As firefighters arrived on scene, they discovered the body of an elderly man inside the home. Another occupant was reported missing and was presumed to be inside the damaged structure.
Crews stayed on scene overnight and continued to excavate and search for the missing person in the morning.
The Medical Examiner will release the cause and manner of death at a later date.
The Grant County Fire Marshal is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
