According to a Washinton landlord tenant Patrick Trivett it all depends on your lease.
Many leases will outline who is responsible for what damage, but Trivett wants to remind people it’s important to still notify the landlord regardless.
If you don’t notify your landlord in a timely manner, additional fines could follow.
