SPOKANE, Wash. – On Saturday, March 16th, 2024, the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick (FSOST) (501 c-3 nonprofit) are holding the 44th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Spokane.

The route looks the same as it has since 2022, starting on Washington Avenue near Riverfront Park and going through Spokane Falls Boulevard and Main Street before ending near City Hall.

The parade starts at noon and is expected to run until about 2 p.m.

Anyone in the public is invited to participate. FSOST is expecting over 10,000 people to be a part of this celebration, and 180+ people/groups to be in the parade.

Every year the FSOST raises around $16,000 through around 15 different sponsorships and a few annual fundraisers. All of the money goes towards organizing the parade.

Around 12 people with FSOST start meeting around September each year to make sure their sponsorships are lined up, then they plan their fundraisers, and finally the parade.

The money that they raise does not go to the volunteers; they are all volunteers. The money goes to staging, signage, promotion, supplies, rental costs, vendors, and the city.

FSOST wants everyone in the public to know they are invited. Their goal is to bring the community together with this annual event.
