Westbound I-90 near Ellensburg has been closed due to multiple spin outs and adverse road conditions.

According to Snoqualmie Pass, there have been multiple spin outs along the roadway this morning causing the closure.

The Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Bureau stated, “make sure you’re prepared if you’re headed over our passes. Troopers and CVEOs are working chain enforcement.”

Currently, chains are required on all vehicles except AWD/4WD. Weather on the pass will be “moderate to heavy snow in the Cascades on Thursday with about 3-8″ of snow expected at the pass & 3-6″ near Cle Elum.”

Drifting snow and low visibility is expected.
