SPOKANE, Wash. – The United States Marshal Service and Steven’s County Sheriff’s Office say that David Cato has been captured safely after a nearly two weeklong manhunt.
The Steven’s County Sheriff’s Office say Cato was found in a residence in Pend Oreille County near Newport Thursday morning. The Marshal Service says that the capture was safely conducted.
This was a multiple entity effort and the USMS says “We are proud of our relationship with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office in the capture of David Cato.”
Cato was wanted on multiple charges including assault in the first Degree and burglary in the first degree.
Law enforcement did not provide information on if the reward was claimed or necessary for the capture.
