Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife opens up public comments on proposed hunting rule changes

OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is opening public comments for the proposed rule changes to the 2024-26 hunting seasons.

The rule changes being proposed having to do with boundaries, landowner hunting permits, pelt inspections, sealing requirements, hunting attire and trapping.

Rule changes are being applied to big and small game as well as migratory gamebirds.

For people who wish to provide a verbal comment there will a public hearing on March 26 and are encouraged to pre-register online.
