Valley rain, mountain snow to hit Inland Northwest

0

Valley rain, mountain snow and breezy winds continue through Tuesday. Snow levels will likely drop from 5000ft overnight Monday into early Tuesday morning, bringing a chance for accumulating snow for Stevens pass, Sherman pass and Lookout pass with 1-4″ of snow possible.

Fog is also a big possibility Tuesday morning and with overnight lows dropping into the low 30’s for parts of the northern mountains of Washington and Idaho, freezing fog on area roadways is a concern. Showers will be scattered through the first half of the day and we are looking for wind gust to 25 mph. Drier and cooler weather, with highs in the mid to upper 40’s and overnight lows in the upper 20’s and low 30’s is expected mid-week and then our next series of storms moves in Thursday night into Friday and keeping valley rain and mountain snow in the forecast through the weekend.
