COLFAX, Wash. – The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspected cocaine dealer while performing a traffic stop in the Pullman area.

On April 7, at around 1 a.m., Whitman County deputies stopped a vehicle in the Pullman area while on a traffic stop; deputies said they learned the driver had cocaine.

During their investigation, the deputies received information that a 20-year-old Pullman resident, Lance Dawson, was selling cocaine.

Dawson was later contacted by deputies at his residence, where he was taken into custody without incident.

The deputies were granted a search warrant for Dawson’s residence, where they located numerous pre-packaged bags that are believed to contain cocaine. The sheriff’s office says they located packaging material, scales, dispensing equipment, cash, and evidence that Dawson was selling large quantities of cocaine.

Dawson was transported to the Whitman County Jail and booked on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.

Deputies say that Dawson is expected to make his first court appearance on Monday in Whitman County Superior Court.

A 20-year-old female Pullman resident, Bridgette Ward, was also arrested and booked into the Whitman County Jail on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
