A warming trend will start the week, followed by a real chance for rain and more normal May temperatures.
Plan Your Monday
Today starts a short dry and sunny warming trend across the Inland Northwest. Expect mostly clear skies and light winds as high pressure builds over the region. High temperatures will climb into the low to mid 70s with a pleasant evening in the 60s and lows in the 40s overnight.
What We’re Tracking
The heat peaks on Tuesday with highs jumping into the mid 80s and even the low 90s in the Columbia Basin. This 10 degree jump in highs might make working outside a little difficult by the early afternoon.
On Wednesday, a shift in the pattern brings cooler air and a chance of showers and storms. How much wet weather we get will depend on the track of the midweek system. Cooler air will settle in after that, which in reality will be close to average temperatures for this time of the year.
