GRANT COUNTY, WASH — A large brush fire in Grant County has closed State Route 24 in both directions.
This is happening 25 miles west of Othello, near Mattawa.
Washington State Patrol says the highway is fully closed and vehicles are being turned around near mileposts 53 and 74 near Sage Hill.
There is no estimate for when the road will reopen.
Source One News reports that the “Road 24 Fire” is at 2,200 acres as of Monday morning.
No word on how it started or if there is any containment.
