The Spokane scout troops that help make Hoopfest possible

SPOKANE, Wash. – Local scout troops have been supporting Hoopfest by volunteering their time and energy for several years.

BSA Troop 468, Pack 468 and GSUSA Troop 2291 prepare 3,000 lunches for Hoopfest monitors and volunteers every year. The troops have been preparing the lunches for over two decades at St. Mary’s parish.

Troops 468 and 2291 have produced several Eagle Scouts and Silver and Bronze Award winning Girl Scouts who have participated in Hoopfest preparations.

BSA Troop 464 assists in Hoopfest trash cleanup every year. Because the iconic three-on-three basketball tournament attracts so many attendees, handling trash cleanup is a critical part of ensuring Hoopfest’s success.

It is clear that local scouting troops are dedicated to helping other people at all times!
