LEAVENWORTH, Wash. — An allegedly dangerous suspect was taken into custody by the East Cascade SWAT Team in Leavenworth on Monday.
The suspect was taken into custody near Highway 2 at Deep Powder Lane without incident and there was no danger to the public at any time, according to Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison.
Traffic on SR 2 was diverted onto Winton Road for approximately an hour during the operation.
The sheriff’s office hasn’t released any additional information, saying they’re limited in what they can say in the interest of protecting the integrity of the investigation. The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office hopes to provide more information soon.
