Suspect who allegedly stabbed woman in Spokane is in custody, faces multiple charges

SPOKANE, Wash. — Sunday evening, a woman living near Elm and 2nd Avenue was stabbed by a former partner who violated a no-contact order.

The Spokane Police Department responded to a home around 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 22. When they arrived on scene they found a man who was the woman’s former partner.

Police said that the woman was stabbed in the head, but sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The man was arrested for suspicion of first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, second-degree malicious mischief, violating a no-contact order and interfering with the reporting of a domestic violence victim.
