SPOKANE, Wash. – A man involved in a string of burglaries was arrested by Spokane Police after an in-depth investigation revealed his identity.

A combined effort between the Spokane Police Department (SPD) patrol officers and SPD Stolen Property Enforcement and Recovery Team (SPEAR), revealed that 32-year-old Stephen P. Hinsen was the suspect on Feb. 4.

Hinsen was booked into the Spokane County Jail for five counts of residential burglary and two counts of second-degree theft.

Included in the investigation were reports from victims and neighbors of the homes Hinsen reportedly robbed.

It was determined that Hinsen entered the victim’s home by kicking open their back doors and breaking their rear windows.
