CHATTAROY, Wash. — Police arrested one person after a fire investigation turned into an alleged shooting in Chattaroy Tuesday night.
According to Spokane County Fire District 4 (SCFD4), firefighters responded to reports of a fire on March 12. SCFD4 said evidence came in that the fire could have been started intentionally, and while working, the suspect fired two shots at firefighters.
SCFD 4 said fire crews took cover and notified law enforcement.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office was notified and immediately responded to the scene.
The suspect was arrested, and law enforcement secured the scene to investigate.
No one was injured in this incident.
