SPOKANE, Wash – A precious item stolen in the middle of the night last Thursday, March 14 in the Audubon – Downriver neighborhood.

“I know it means a lot more to me than it would to anyone else. My dad was my person. He showed me a lot of things in the life and his death was sudden. It was just a really sweet gesture for my mom to give that to me,” Mindy Marigny a Spokane resident, said.

Marigny is looking for whoever broke into her car and stole her late father’s ring. The ring was stolen, among other things, but that ring is the only item she really cares about.

She filed a report with Spokane Police and they referred her to C.O.P.S. to get the car swept for fingerprints, according to Marigny.

It’s a 1970’s gold ring with a tiger eye inset. Marigny says it’s hard to put a value on the ring because it means so much to her.

“Think about the things that you’re actually stealing and the value they hold to that person because it could be a family heirloom that will never be replaced. My dads fingers went through that ring and so that doesn’t mean anything to them. It means something to me,” Marigny said.

If you’ve seen this ring or know anything about what happened that night, you’re asked to contact crime check at (509) 456-2233 or contact Marigny on Facebook.
