SPOKANE, Wash. – A man who allegedly threatened to kill his family with a handgun was arrested by Spokane County sheriff’s deputies on Friday.

The sheriff’s office claims that they responded to a domestic violence call at around 5 pm on Friday and found Michael McCoy threatening to kill his four family members in their Spokane Valley home.

McCoy was then reportedly seen running through several backyards on Baldwin Avenue and around I-90.

The sheriff’s office says a helicopter which was already patrolling the area at the time found McCoy hiding near a large pile of trash near the southbound I-90 barrier wall near the intersection of Baldwin Avenue and Woodruff Road.

The incident ended when McCoy was ordered to surrender and was apprehended.

McCoy is currently in Spokane County Superior Court facing four charges of felony harassment with threats to kill. His bond is set at $2,500.
