SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Transit Authority (STA) will host four open houses across Spokane County to foster community engagement in transportation projects.

The open houses will allow people from the Spokane community to learn more about current STA projects, future initiatives, and upcoming developments for transportation infrastructure.

Additionally, attendees will have the chance to interact with representatives from local municipalities and other key stakeholders to learn about their planned initiatives and infrastructure investments.

“We are excited to invite the community to join us for these open houses as we continue to work with our partners to improve transportation for everyone in Spokane County,” said E. Susan Meyer, CEO of Spokane Transit Authority. “These events are an essential platform for us to engage with the public, gather feedback, and ensure that our services meet the evolving needs of our region.”

Each open house will be held in an informal drop-in style format, featuring displays and opportunities for attendees to provide feedback and ask questions of project managers. Topics will include current and upcoming transit projects, accessibility initiatives, service expansions, and upcoming infrastructure improvements unique to the focus area of each open house.

The open houses will be held on the following dates and locations:

North Spokane, March 19 from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Northeast Community Center. West Plains, March 28 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Spokane County Library. Downtown Spokane, April 9, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at STA Plaza.
