SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Public Library will host an Earth Day celebration on April 20.

The family event will take place at the Central Library from 1 to 3 pm and feature several activities highlighting conservation efforts. Families who visit every table will be offered their own vegetation to take home.

“Spokane Ponderosa is generously providing trees for the first 300 guests who visit all our tables and complete their Earth Day passport,” Spokane Libraries said.

Spokane Storm and Wastewater, Solid Waste and Spokane Zero waste are cosponsoring the event alongside Global Neighborhood Thrift and the Spokane Aquifer.

There is no word yet as to whether Spokane’s beloved Cletus the Compost Cart will be in attendance.
